Valju is an online matchmaking service for jobs. Different from other platforms, personal values form the basis to propose jobs.
This service is driven by the close contact to employers, to give an authentic possibility of portraying. Job seekers will also have the option to analyze their own values.
The research is based on the mega trend New Work. Already 50% of the 18-35-year-old population in Europe regard their work as a possibility for self-realization.
We find ourselves in a development towards an employee market. Due to the demographic change, it will be the well-trained workers who are allowed to choose their job according to their own criteria, instead of companies that can choose from a pool of suitable applicants. As a result, companies need to be more attractive to applicants in order to attract sustainable employees.
We accompany the user with the following three steps. In a 30-minute test, we analyze what is important to the user in life and work. The result is then provided to the user in a graphical evaluation and can be stored in a private profile. Afterwards, the user receives content and job advertisements based on his evaluation.
For the analysis of the values we use a scientifically founded test, the so-called Portraits Value Questionnaire, by the psychologist Shalom H. Schwartz. It is a questionnaire of 40 questions that measures the expression of 19 different personal values.
The Career Platform gives the employee free access to interesting content, self-reflection lessons, and an account that accompanies the user on his journey to work.
For companies, we offer optimization of their own representation in the form of job advertisements, inclusion in our register of valuable companies and by editorials on our blog.
Strategy and design were tested in an observation room at the Fraunhofer IVV. Therefore, we prepared a web prototype for different use cases.
